Gandhi, who was questioned for the first time by a central probe agency, remained at the ED office until 9 p.m., having arrived at 11.10 a.m. with a battery of leaders, including sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and escorted by armed CRPF personnel, before taking an 80-minute break in the afternoon.Under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the ED is recording the statement of a Lok Sabha member from Wayanad in Kerala (PMLA).The investigation is into alleged financial irregularities at the Young Indian newspaper, which is owned by the Associated Journals Limited and published by the party (AJL).Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, both members of the Congress, are among the promoters and shareholders of Young Indian.
