Karan Johar was seen blaming Aamir Khan for this. Karan said that Aamir is the reason why the charm of Hindi cinema has faded in front of South films. Karan said that in the year 2001, you brought two films ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Lagaan’. Both the films had their own sensibility. After this, you made ‘Rang De Basanti’ in the year 2006, after that ‘Taare Zameen Par’. After the response from these films, you started making films for some target audiences.
Aamir told Karan Johar wrong
On this talk of Karan Johar, Aamir Khan said, ‘No you are wrong, they are all Heartland films. They have emotions and they reach the common man. Those are the kind of movies that you can connect to emotionally. It connects people to their roots.
Aamir gave advice to Hindi filmmakers
On South vs Hindi cinema, Aamir Khan said that ‘I am not saying that make action films. Make movies with good content, choose topics that most people can connect to. Every filmmaker has the freedom to make whatever he wants, but if you are picking such things in which not many people of India are interested then people are not able to relate. I think this is the difference’.
