Vineet Kumar Singh Launched the trailer of the upcoming film ‘Siya’ on his 38th birthday. Vineet, who has featured in films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Mukkabaaz’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, ‘Gunjan Saxena’, tells the story of a small town girl who fights against the patriarchal system for justice. Fights and Vineet helps in that. Pooja Pandey and Vineet are playing lead roles in this film and Manish Mundra is the director of this film made under the banner of Drishyam Films.
In a special conversation with News18, Vineet Kumar Singh told that he became very emotional while playing the role of a lawyer in this film. In this social drama film, Vineet plays the role of a lawyer who brings justice to a gangrape victim girl. Vineet says that as an actor, your responsibility becomes more in such sensitive films.
I get angry if someone says anything to sisters.
Vineet Kumar Singh said that when you work in a film like ‘Siya’, you become very emotional. I have two sisters, I am from a small town, I have faced many things in my life. When people say anything bad about my sisters it is unbearable and it hurts, I get angry. I am sure all those who have sisters must also think the same. I try to give a strong social message through my work in a film like ‘Siya’.
Only 4 percent go to the theater
Vineet says that ‘every character you play takes something in return from you. When I met Manish ji, my physique was like that of a wrestler. Then I had to lose weight, gradually I got into the character of this film. While talking about the non-working of films, Vineet said, ‘We are a population of 135 crore people, but only 4 percent of the people go to the cinema hall and watch the film. Drishyam Films has made films like ‘Aankhon Dekhi’, ‘Newton’. There was a big difference in the box office collection of both where ‘Aankhon Dekhi’ earned 27 lakhs, while ‘Newton’ earned 22 crores’. Let us tell you that ‘Siya’ will be released on 16 September.
