Azam Khan is in jail for creating a university, but a Union minister’s son is out on bail in a case of farmer murder, according to Akhilesh Yadav.
Rampur (UP): Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav mocked the ruling BJP on Friday, saying that while Azam Khan is in jail for creating a university, a Union minister’s son is out on bail in a case involving the slaughter of farmers, and that this is the BJP’s “new India.
“He also asserted that the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections had provided enough evidence that the BJP would be defeated in the state. The Allahabad High Court granted bail to Ashish Mishra, the son of Union minister Ajay Mishra, in a case of violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri area, in which eight persons were slain, including four farmers.
“Even if the BJP performs 700 squats, the farmers will not forgive the party,” Mr Yadav said at an election rally in Rampur in support of Mr Khan and other SP candidates.
Mr Khan’s son, Abdullah Azam, was sentenced to two years in prison on false charges, according to him.”Azam Khan was also imprisoned on spurious allegations. He was accused of stealing buffalo, chickens, and literature, among other things. However, the man who crushed farmers beneath the wheels of a jeep has been released from prison. The BJP’s new India looks like this “The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh went on to say.
“The man who created a university for you and battled for your honour and rights was imprisoned. And the man who used a jeep to crush farmers has been released from prison. Farmers have never been crushed by a vehicle anywhere on the planet. However, now that the Uttar Pradesh elections are upon us, he has been granted bail and is free to go “he stated Mr Khan was instrumental in the establishment of the Jauhar University in Rampur.
On several allegations, he is currently imprisoned in the Sitapur Prison.Mr Khan has been nominated by the SP for the Rampur Assembly sector, while his son has been nominated for the Suar constituency in the district. The election in Rampur will take place on February 14th.”People were waiting for election results on March 10,” he said, “but based on how voting went in the first round (on Thursday), it appears like the results were out by yesterday evening.
“People from various parts of society, including farmers, have wiped out the BJP in the first phase of polling, and whatever is left (of the party) would be wiped out in the second phase from Saharanpur to Rampur,” Mr Yadav added. He also said that despite Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s claims that he has handed computers to young people, no laptops have been provided in Rampur.
“The BJP’s leaders are notorious for lying. They first lied during demonetisation, when they claimed that the action would reduce corruption. Corruption was not only unabated, but it doubled during the two-engine administration “He claimed this in reference to the BJP’s control of both the state and the federal government, and urged people to vote for the SP-RLD coalition.
