Ekta Kapoor The film ‘Dobara’ is directed by Anurag Kashyap. The trailer of this film starring Taapsee Pannu was launched in Mumbai. Anurag is always known for speaking candidly without any lameness. Even on the occasion of the trailer launch of his upcoming film, Anurag expressed his opinion on the ongoing bad phase of Hindi films. Anurag also told the reason for the flop of Bollywood films.
There is a lot of discussion these days about Bollywood vs South film industry. Hindi cinema is going through a bad phase these days. Bollywood films are dying one by one at the box office, while South films are becoming a big hit. Time is same but method of making is different. Bollywood filmmakers are constantly on target because of the way Hindi films are getting beaten up. When this question came in front of Anurag Kashyap on the occasion of the trailer launch of the film ‘Dobaara’, he openly expressed his opinion on it.
English speaking people should not make films about the land
Anurag Kashyap said that ‘we are not making films related to the land, whereas whatever the South people make are films related to the land. If English speaking Hindi films are made here, this will happen. We have forgotten to make films related to land. If ‘Gangubai’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ have worked, then these films were liked because these films are grounded.
Anurag doesn’t like to make remakes
Actually, Anurag Kashyap is being accused about ‘Dobaara’ that it is a remake of Hollywood film ‘Miraj’. On this, Anurag clarified that I do not believe in making remake films, but prefer to make films only on the original story. Right now the atmosphere of films is full of confusion. People don’t even understand what is going on right now. But it is clear that the film ‘Dobaara’ is not a remake of any film, yes you can definitely call it inspired.
Let us tell you that ‘Dobaara’, a film based on a murder mystery, is releasing in theaters on August 19.
